Holden Heaven Australian Tour

G’day Holden Enthusiasts

We are excited to announce that Holden Heaven is hitting the road for a second tour of Australia. During the next 18 months, we’ll be visiting Holden Car Clubs, Holden Dealerships, Holden Events, Motoring Museums, Swap Meets and local businesses that support Holden enthusiasts. We encourage everyone to follow our Holden Heaven Blog for all the latest updates on our progress and photos from the road. Feature articles will be posted on the Holden Heaven site.

2011-12 Tour Itinerary

Leaving Canberra in late May, we’ll be heading through western NSW during June, outback QLD in July and back down the QLD coast during August and September. Holden Heaven will be touring Tasmania extensively from October to February, then head across to spend the majority of 2012 in WA and SA. During 2009, our first Australian Tour covered outback NSW, SA, NT and WA with many visits to NSW and Victoria during 2010.

Join Holden’s Drive Safely This Easter Pledge

Holden Heaven is encouraging everyone in the entire Holden Enthusiasts Community to join the Holden pledge to drive safely this Easter. Don’t just do it for yourself, but all of your family, friends and fellow Holden Car Club members that would also be affected if you were involved in a motor vehicle accident. “Last weekend marked the one year anniversary that our local Holden Car Club lost one of its longest-serving and most generous members, Scott Dunkley. This Easter, I pledge to drive my 1959 FC Holden station sedan safely for my wife and my two little boys (22 month old & 3 week old). Muscle Car Masters Eastern Creek NSW

G’day Holden Enthusiasts

We spent this Fathers Day at the Muscle Car Masters at Eastern Creek NSW. We were there to support our Holden Heaven Racing Blogger, Colin Tierney racing his #183 Group Nb EH Holden. We met quite a few Holden Car Club members and Holden Heaven facebook friends. We also handed out 2000 Holden Heaven stickers to fellow Holden enthusiasts and were also lucky enough to meet Alan Grice, Kevin Bartlett & Bob Morris.

Of course, the highlight of the weekend was seeing and hearing all of the the fantastic race cars from all categories. There were dozens of Holdens competing in the Touring Car Masters, Group A & C and Group Nb & Nc. Many spectators were reliving fond memories of touring cars from their past. Others were getting to see many of these cars in action for the first time. I really enjoyed seeing the EHs, Toranas, Monaros, Commodores and the replica Brock Toranas and Commodores.
